For instance, if you apply a thick cream before a serum, it can create a barrier that blocks the serum from reaching the skin. Similarly, If you apply a moisturizer over a sunscreen, you can “water down” the effects of the SPF. An easy rule of thumb is to apply your skincare products with the thinnest consistency to the thickest.

Today, the Timeless medical team is breaking down the steps to get the best results from your skincare routine. Each product should be used daily, AM & PM unless otherwise noted.

Best Skincare Regimen

1. Cleanse

Begin with a facial cleanser to remove makeup as well as pore-clogging dirt, bacteria, and oil buildup. By first ridding your skin of these impurities, it leaves a fresh foundation to better absorb the rest of your skincare products. Timeless recommends SkinMedica® Facial Cleanser for normal skin or SkinMedica Sensitive Skin Cleanser for sensitive or post-procedure skin.

Cleanse with the Clarisonic Smart Profile Brush for 11x better results than manual cleansing with your hands. Learn step-by-step how to use the Clarisonic Smart Profile and the massaging Uplift attachment for the neck and chest.

Exfoliate at least twice a week with AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser to slough off dead skin cells and brighten discolored skin. AHA/BHA also encourages cellular turnover and collagen production or help with acne-prone skin. Your Timeless provider can help decide which cleanser is best for your skin’s needs.

Optional: Skin Medica Rejuvenative Toner to decrease the appearance of pores and restore the skin’s proper PH balance. Used as a treatment for acne and discoloration.

2. Correct

Improve the appearance of your skin with formulas that combat factors that can lead to premature aging.

Prescription Products: Next, apply any topical antibiotics medically prescribed to you.

Retinol Complex: (PM only): Renews the skin with advanced antioxidants to improve the appearance of sun damage and diminish fine lines and coarse wrinkles. Available in 3 different strengths (.25, 0.5, and 1.0) to align with the prescription tretinoin. Note: Retinoids can cause irritation if applied to wet skin and sensitive to light; Use only at night, starting at 2x per week to test your skin’s tolerance.

TNS Recovery Complex: A serum that reaches the deeper layers of skin to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles to smooth skin tone and texture. Also provides resiliency to prolong the benefits of our procedures.

TNS Essential Serum: Provides two formulas in one: Recovery Complex and APS Corrective Complex with antioxidants to smooth and brighten fine lines, wrinkles and age spots. Rejuvenates with human growth factors to help support the foundation of skin and peptides to prolong treatment results.

Lytera 2.0 Pigment Correcting Serum: Brightens dull skin and reduces dark patches and discoloration for more even tone and an increased radiance and clarity of the skin.

HA5 Rejuvenating Hydrator: Hydrates the skin and allows it to naturally replenish its own HA hyaluronic acid (HA) levels throughout the day. Works on the outer most layers of the skin to instantly smooth texture and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

TNS Illuminating Eye Cream: Lightweight eye cream to help brighten the skin around the eyes or Uplifting Eye Serum: Oil-free gel to sooth delicate skin around the eyes to decrease puffiness while smoothing and hydrating or TNS Eye Repair: Ultra-rich eye cream to decrease the appearance of dark eye circles with enhanced hydration effects.

3. Moisturize

Moisturizers create a barrier to help prevent water in the skin from being lost to the environment. It should always be the final step before sunscreen. Each product’s unique combination of ingredients will provide a personalized moisture level based on your skin’s needs. Level 1: Ultra Sheer Moisturizer: Lightweight, oil-free with antioxidants and hyaluronic acid to hydrate oily, acne-prone or combination skin.

Level 2: TNS Ultimate Daily Moisturizer SPF 20: Hydrates skin while providing UVA and UVB protection to prevent sun damage. Enriched with TNS growth factors.

Level 3: Replenish Hydrating Cream: Hydrates while refreshing and soothing dry, sensitive skin with antioxidants and Vitamins A, C, E. Good for AM or summer skin.

Level 3: Rejuvenative Moisturizer: Helps soothe and hydrate dry, stressed skin. Helpful for acne patients.

4. Protect

Essential Defense Mineral Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 35: Sheer, lightweight, mineral sunscreen with UVA and UVB coverage to to protect you from the sun’s damaging rays. Appropriate for post procedure and sensitive or acneic skin types.

Colorescience Sunforgettable® Brush-on Sunscreen: Offers powerful SPF 50 UVA/UVB protection. The mineral powder is non-greasy and 80 minute sweat and water resistant. Available in medium or tan shades.
