Chemical Peel FAQ’s

Get answers to your most pressing questions about this specific treatment. Here are a few that we hear most often:

HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY SKIN BEFORE AND AFTER MY TREATMENT?

View our Chemical Peel Before & After Treatment Instructions.

How long is a chemical peel appointment?

A typical appointment is 15 minutes. The procedure itself will most likely take less than 5 minutes. This is just one of many “lunchtime” appointments Timeless has to offer.

Will it hurt?

As the solution is applied to your skin, you will experience some minor, brief discomfort, similar to a sunburn. Depending on the depth of your peel and your individual skin type, comfort measures are available to ease any subsiding pain.

Is it safe?

Yes. Chemical Peels have been used for years. Timeless is a highly-trained, physician-led practice and we pay close attention to both skin type and area of concern prior to performing the treatment.

What should I expect?

After your skin is properly cleansed, a variety of topical solutions are selected for your skin type and concern. These solutions are then layered on the skin to target and achieve the appropriate peel depth to reach your personal skin care goals.

When will I start seeing results?

After one treatment, the majority of patients notice an immediate improvement in skin’s texture.

How long do results last?

Generally, results are cumulative so maximum benefits are seen with a series of chemical peels.

Is there downtime associated?

After treatment, the face will feel tight and appear red, similar to a mild sunburn. Depending on the type of peel, some patients experience peeling 3 to 5 days after treatment. Our pre and post-care support allow us to monitor your progress every step of the way.

How much does it cost?

The average cost per peel is $210. We also offer our patients the perk of adding on a chemical peel to any regular appointment for only half the cost*. Adding a chemical peel to your treatment boosts your results!

*Some restrictions apply.

What is the difference between all types of peels I see online? Which one will I receive?

With physician level peels, we have a variety of ingredients at our disposal that we customize based on your specific skin. Whether it’s your first peel, or one of many, your desired outcome and current skin condition will be evaluated by our medical professionals before each and every peel.

Am I an ideal candidate?

While most all skin types can be treated with chemical peels, we take special care to ensure this treatment is also safe for darker skin. It is an effective treatment for a variety of skin concerns, including smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, treating acne, brown spots and pores. If you are hoping for a youthful, healthy, and radiant appearance, a chemical peel is for you.

HOW DOES A CHEMICAL PEEL WORK?

A topical solution is applied with ingredients customized to your specific skin type and concerns. The top layer of the skin will be exfoliated and the solution will cause the skin to dehydrate and peel, revealing a smoother, brighter appearance.
