Columbus Laser Skin Rejuvenation Vs. Columbus Ultherapy
Columbus Sagging Skin Treatments: Titan or Ultherapy
If you come to Timeless Skin Solutions, we can help point you in the right direction for exactly the treatment for YOUR skin.
What KIND of Sagging?
Dr. Carol Clinton and Gail Hogan recently delved into the two types of procedures that help with loose skin.
“One is a more superficial treatment called Titan and there’s a deeper one now called Ultherapy,” Clinton said.
Patients often come to us and want to know what’s going to work well for them, she said.
“Why would I decide one over the other?”
“Ultherapy goes deeper.
“It’s really good for people who have started to lose that elasticity in their skin that’s significant,” Clinton said.
The treatment starts with a wand passing over the skin that emits ultrasound. The same technology that’s used to see babies in the womb is used to pinpoint the best place to target.
From there, a gentle energy is transmitted to deep beneath the skin.
“It’ll really help because we’re in that layer between the muscle and the fat,” she said.
That’s the same layer that would be targeted with surgery to make improvements, yet Ultherapy is non-invasive.
At two months, some Ultherapy patients will see results with most seeing results really kick in at four months.
Dr. Clinton said the area around the eyes – especially above the eyes – can yield dramatic results from Ultherapy.
“It’s an amazing thing.”
If you’re not quite reaching the level of sag that warrants Ultherapy, Titan is the treatment of choice.
Through gently heating the deepest layer of skin, Titan encourages collagen and elastin fibers to rejoin.
This action rejuvenates the skin and firms the area that’s been treated.
Not Just Face Value
Titan has been used successfully for years on parts of the body including knees and stomach.
Soon, Ultherapy will work its way into treating areas other than the face as well.
