Non-Surgical Skin Tightening with ResurFX

A state-of-the-art, non-ablative, fractional laser technology, ResurFX™ provides a non-surgical option for tightening the skin by stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin fibers in the deeper layers of the skin. 

What does ResurFX treat?

In addition to non-surgical skin tightening, ResurFX is used for the treatment of age/sun spots, fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, and scars. At Timeless Skin Solutions, one of the biggest benefits our patients are seeing with ResurFX is the reduction in pore size. As new collagen is produced, the skin becomes firmer, and more radiant, while pore size and fine lines are reduced.

The added benefit of ResurFX being non-ablative (doesn’t destroy the surface skin cells) and fractional (targets a portion of the skin at a time), our medical providers can achieve impressive results without the extensive downtime seen with other lasers. 

How does ResurFX work? 

ResurFX works by sending controlled laser beams that are targeted by depth and energy to varying levels of the skin. The targeted tissue is treated in fractions leaving the surrounding tissue intact, which is then able to help heal the treated tissue faster and with less downtime. Most people can go about their normal activities and even wear make-up within a few hours after treatment. 

What should I expect during and after my treatment?

ResurFX is generally a 20-30 minute procedure depending on the size of the area being treated. Our providers will walk you through the procedure and answer any questions you might have before beginning the treatment. They will then prep the area with a topical anesthetic that will help ensure the procedure is less painful.

Immediately following treatment, you may experience some redness and/or swelling, depending on your customized treatment settings. The swelling will diminish after a few hours and the redness as quickly as 1-2 days. Most patients can resume their daily activities on the same day. Please note, if you have a darker skin tone your provider will advise you to use a skin lightener or hydroquinone 4 weeks prior to the treatment to reduce the risk of darkening of the skin after the treatment.

When will I see results after a ResurFX treatment?

After just the first treatment, patients may notice changes in pore size and overall skin texture. Because ResurFX works with your skin to stimulate deep collagen regeneration, three sessions typically are needed for visible and significant results and improvements can continue for up to six months following the treatment.
