My Liquid Facelift

Liquid facelift.

Sounds a bit scary when you hear it. I’ll admit, when Dr. Clinton suggested I have a liquid facelift to address my loss of facial volume and sagging skin, I was apprehensive.

A liquid facelift before and after image. In the past, Dr. Clinton had injected the lines around my mouth, often called the “parenthesis” lines, with little downtime and great success.

In fact, my before and after photos (left) were so good, I became the office poster-girl for filler in this area. But a liquid facelift sounded serious.

The “liquid” version is nothing like a traditional facelift which requires cutting and significant downtime. Rather, it is a non-surgical, non-invasive procedure performed in about an hour, using dermal fillers such as Juvederm XC, Restylane, Perlane and Radiesse.

Why did I want to do the facelift? Over the last several years, as I looked in the mirror, I began to notice my face was looking drawn. I lost the youthful contours in my face; my cheek bones, jawline, and lips were beginning to vanish.

Given Dr. Clinton’s extensive expertise in the area of injectables, along with my trust in her recommendation, I decided to move forward with the treatment.

The whole process took less than one hour, and started with Dr. Clinton applying a numbing cream to my face. Soon after she began the series of injections my temples, cheek bones, jawline, and lips. The process was not painful, although I did experience bruising after the treatment which lasted about a week.

Kristy's liquid facelift before and after. As you can see from my before and after pictures, the results are subtle, but impressive. My eyes appear wider and brighter due to the replenished volume along my temples. The filler injected along my cheek bones and lips returns a more youthful appearance from years past. My liquid facelift will last for more than a year and I would not hesitate to do it again.
