Skinvive or AquaGold?

You’ve likely heard us talk about Skinvive and AquaGold, but may not be sure which is best for you and the results you are looking for. So let’s take a look at these different types of skin boosters and share what you need to know.

What are skin boosters?

Skin boosters are a new class of injectables that aim to hydrate, smooth, and firm without adding the fullness provided by fillers. Skin Boosters increase the levels of hydration in the skin and stimulate the production of collagen, improving fine lines and wrinkles, and producing firmer and younger-looking skin. They can be used to treat many different skin types and the most common areas that are treated include the face followed by the neck, chest, and hands.

How does SkinVIVE work?

Unlike fillers that restore volume, Skinvive™ by JUVÉDERM® hydrates the skin, creating a luminous complexion and leaving you looking well-rested, glowing, and rejuvenated. Microdroplets of hyaluronic acid are injected just beneath the skin, addressing changes in skin texture, the loss of luminosity, and, ultimately, rejuvenating the skin from within. The best part? There is no downtime and you will see results over six months without requiring a series of treatments.

What is AquaGold?

Nicknamed the “Red Carpet Treatment” for good reason, AquaGold Fine Touch Micro-Infusion is the perfect choice to make you look your best before a big event. This treatment offers serious changes, including smaller pores, a brighter tone, extra hydration, and reduced fine lines. If you’ve ever wanted to look like the “after” photo, this is the treatment to try. Trust us, skin looks airbrushed after just one treatment.

This non-invasive, virtually painless treatment uses patented 24-carat gold-plated surgical-grade needles – thinner than human hair – to deliver skin rejuvenating solutions directly below the surface of the skin. One of the biggest perks of this treatment is that it can be different for everyone. Each treatment with the Fine Touch device comes pre-loaded with a selection of the most popular compounds, injectables, and healthy formulas in the aesthetics field. The microchanneling process helps these compounds get deep into the skin with long-lasting results.

How are Skinvive and AquaGold different?

While you can achieve very similar outcomes with Skinvive and AquaGold, they are very different products.

Skinvive is an injectable that offers hydration through microdroplets of hyaluronic acid, which leads to the appearance of healthy, youthful, and glowing skin. SkinVIVE does NOT use a neurotoxin and is injected throughout the area in a grid pattern. Areas that can be treated with SkinVIVe are the cheeks, chin, neck, lips, hands, and elbows. There is no downtime with SkinVIVE and you can expect results to last approximately six months.

AquaGold on the other hand includes both filler and Botox and is injected in a microneeding technique. It offers some tightening of the skin and a glow that is perfect for those big life events. AquaGold can be used on the cheeks, neck, and chest, with results lasting three to four months. It is possible that you will experience up to 24 hours of redness, so plan accordingly!
