Am I A Good Candidate for CoolSculpting?

If you are looking for a safe and effective way to reduce unwanted fat in certain areas of your body, CoolSculpting is an excellent option to consider. This non-invasive treatment is approved to treat nine areas of the body, including the abdomen, flanks (yes, those dreaded love handles), banana roll, inner and outer thighs, bra fat, upper arms, back, the submental (double chin) and the submandibular areas (below the jawline).

While CoolSculpting can be highly effective, it may not be for everyone. You can schedule a consultation with one of our providers to determine if this is the best approach to help you achieve your body sculpting goals.

With that said, there are a few general guidelines to help you determine if you are a good candidate for the treatment.

Healthy Weight

CoolSculpting is not meant to be a weight loss solution. It is specifically designed to target those pesky pockets of fat that will just not budge no matter how much you diet and exercise. To get the best results, it is important to maintain a healthy weight before undergoing the treatment.

Good Skin Elasticity

This treatment is designed to reduce fat, not tighten skin. If you are experiencing significant skin laxity or looseness, a surgical procedure like a tummy tuck or thigh lift may be more suitable for your needs.

Realistic Expectations

CoolSculpting has been scientifically proven to reduce the number of fat cells in a treated area by up to 20 to 25% — but don’t expect instant gratification. While some patients may experience results as early as three weeks after the treatment, the most significant changes tend to happen after two months. And even after the treatment, your body will continue to flush out fat cells for up to four to six months. So, be patient and give your body time to work its magic!

It’s also important to keep in mind that CoolSculpting is not suitable for individuals suffering from certain medical conditions that cause sensitivity to cold temperatures, such as cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria. During your consultation, our medical provider will review your medical history and assess the areas you want to treat to determine if CoolSculpting is the best solution for you.

At Timeless Skin Solutions, we’re always looking to provide the latest and most innovative treatments. Schedule a consultation with any of our providers to learn how CoolSculpting® Elite can help you meet your body sculpting goals.
