Introducing Sculptra®

Our injectable options are growing! Meet Sculptra®, a revolutionary treatment for restoring skin volume and vitality. Sculptra’s use of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible synthetic substance, sets it apart from traditional fillers by working to stimulate collagen production.

Not only does Sculptra restore volume, but it also improves skin texture and elasticity over time. With Sculptra, patients can effectively address both volume loss and the signs of aging for a refreshed and revitalized appearance.

What does Sculptra® treat?

Sculptra is a collagen stimulator that helps to repair the skin’s underlying structure. This adds fullness to the face and diminishes the appearance of any wrinkles and fine lines.

Most commonly injected to reduce the appearance of smile lines, marionette lines, and wrinkles around the chin, it is incredibly versatile and can be used in a number of areas;

  • Nasolabial folds AKA “smile lines”
  • Fine lines and wrinkles on the cheeks
  • Hollows in the temples or in front of the ears
  • Sunken cheeks
  • Wrinkled chins
  • Weak jawline

How is Sculptra® different from other injectables?

Despite being an injectable, Sculptra differs from your traditional Hyaluronic Fillers (HA) in several key ways:

  • Collagen Stimulation: Unlike HA fillers that fill in lines, wrinkles, and folds, Sculptra kickstarts your skin’s natural collagen production, restoring your skin’s foundation, and improving firmness, elasticity, and texture over time.

  • Gradual Results: While HA fillers deliver immediate plumping and instant results, Sculptra works differently. You may start noticing results as early as one month after treatment, but its full effects typically take four to six months to develop, resulting in a subtle, refreshed appearance that lasts.

  • Long-Lasting Results: Sculptra is one of the longest-lasting dermal fillers on the market with results lasting up to two years – nearly twice as long as hyaluronic fillers.

  • Irreversible Nature: While its effects are not permanent, Sculptra is irreversible. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, Sculptra cannot be dissolved if you have a change of heart, rather they will naturally fade over time.

How does the aftercare for Sculptra® differ from that of traditional dermal fillers?

After your Sculptra treatment, your provider will guide you through the aftercare instructions. However, a significant difference in the aftercare of Sculptra is the requirement for massage. Patients are instructed to massage the treated area for five minutes, five times a day, for five days. This helps distribute the product evenly and prevents the formation of nodules or lumps. Our PA-C, Allyson Sterling, explains how to do this in the video below:
