Raised, elevated or protruded scars can come in all shades of pink, red or purple. Dr. Clinton may be able to treat the scar in such a way as to flatten the texture, making it less prominent.
She is unable to treat scars in which an active infection is present.
Dr. Clinton uses a very small needle to inject steroids under the scar.
Over a 2- to 3-week period, expect the scar to decrease in elevation.
Dr. Clinton finds that, in some cases, more than one treatment may be needed.
Resume normal activities, using sunscreen if exposed to the sun. See complete treatment instructions.
